Oracle opens second cloud region in Hyderabad !!

Hyderabad: Today’s Oracle announced an opening of its second cloud region in Hyderabad. This follows Oracle’s launch of Mumbai Cloud region in 2019.  With the latest opening, India joins the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and the European Union to have multiple Oracle Cloud regions. Oracle said that the new Cloud region will help its Indian customers and partners to access to all Oracle Cloud suite which includes platforms such as Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Autonomous Linux, as well as Oracle Cloud Applications.

Last year, Oracle launched as many 20 Cloud Regions. It currently has 24 regions globally – 16 commercial and six government. By the end of this year, Oracle will open new cloud regions in the US (San Jose, CA), Brazil (Vinhedo), the UK (Cardiff, Wales), Singapore, Israel, South Africa (Johannesburg), Chile (Santiago), Saudi Arabia and two in the United Arab Emirates.

With two Oracle Cloud regions live in India, we’re fully geared to support our 15000 plus customers in their innovation journey, with adequate support by nearly 1000 specialized Oracle partners,” said Shailender Kumar, Regional Managing Director, Oracle India.
